YORK City Knights will entertain moneybags National League Two side Dewsbury in the next round of the Northern Rail Cup well aware the Rams will be coming with revenge in mind.

The Knights were given a home game in last night's second round draw - only their second home draw in 12 knockout cup ties going back two years - but the visitors will be desperate to get one over on Mick Cook's men.

Their last visit to York, in April last year, ended in a 74-12 thrashing - a Knights record win - while the reverse fixture saw Cook's team triumph 23-15 in a vital result which went a long way to deciding the title.

Dewsbury went on to finish runners-up to the Knights in the NL2 table and would have joined them in NL1 this year but for a thrilling defeat by Batley Bulldogs in the play-off final.

They have already got revenge over their Spen Valley arch-rivals, however, as they beat them in both Northern Rail group games this season to knock them out of the competition, and they showed more NL1 credentials by also defeating Doncaster Lakers during the group section.

Northern Rail Cup quarter-final qualifying draw: Hull KR v Halifax, Celtic Crusaders v Rochdale, Workington v Swinton, Whitehaven v Sheffield, Bramley v Doncaster, London Skolars v Leigh, YORK CITY KNIGHTS v Dewsbury Rams, Barrow v Widnes. The ties will be played on Sunday, April 23.
