ST AELRED'S School has emerged as an unbeatable force on the netball courts with two teams shooting to success last week.
The mixed team starring five girls and three boys had the first taste after conquering their Oaklands Sports Partnership family members, and then going on to beat the other family champions in the High 5 tournament.
High 5 netball is a small-sided version of the ball game, with wing defence and wing attack positions scrapped and a compulsory squad rotation system that gets players involved both on and off court.
The team will now represent York in the North Yorkshire youth games at Ampleforth College in June.
The all-girls squad are also smiling after winning the Railway Institute York Schools' Athletic Association junior netball rally for intermediate schools.
The seven-strong unit did not lose a single match and will now battle it out in the championship cup.
