Kevin Ryan, with two winners at Musselburgh on Sunday and another at Redcar yesterday, can maintain his excellent run tomorrow when Beverley opens its gates for the first time this season.

The Hambleton trainer can lift division two of the beverley-racecourse.co.uk Maiden Auction Stakes with Miss Kool Kat, the mount of Jimmy Quinn.

A creditable fourth on her debut at Lingfield, where she was doing all her best work late in the race, Miss Kool Kat will relish Beverley's stiff five-furlong course and is expected to break her maiden status at the second time of asking.

Ryan can also score with Danetime Lord in The Commitments Play Here on 22 June Handicap.

The three-year-old has been in cracking form since joining Ryan. He was a decisive winner at Wolverhampton last week and the 6lb he picked-up for that success will effectively be erased by the 5lb claim of Ryan's smart apprentice Andrew Mullen, who takes the mount tomorrow.

The highlight of the card is the £14,000 Flying Five Handicap, in which Golden Asha, a winner over the same course and distance last season, is fancied to start the new term in similar vein for Newmarket trainer Neville Callaghan.

The Nap selection is Edaara in the Rossdales Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Newmarket. The William Haggas-trained three-year-old showed a high level of potential in her two outings last season and was unlucky not to break her maiden tag.

Entered in the 1,000 Guineas, she may take that Classic route if she passes tomorrow's test. Richard Hills has the mount.
