York City boss Billy McEwan has threatened that KitKat Crescent will be no place for slackers in the next fortnight.
Following the Minstermen's 2-0 home defeat to Halifax on Easter Monday and results elsewhere, McEwan's men only have a remote opportunity of making the play-offs.
But the City manager is emphasising to his players that their approach to their remaining fixtures at Stevenage and at home to Hereford must remain professional.
He said: "The players have been fantastic but the season's not finished. There's two games to go and, if there's any slacking and they go through the motions, they will not be at York City next season.
"The season lasts 42 games not 40. They need to keep giving our supporters value for money as they have done all season."
The management team of Scottish first division side Hamilton Academicals watched Andy Bishop and Clayton Donaldson against Halifax but both City strikers struggled to make an impression.
