CONGRATULATIONS to York City and Billy McEwan for such a wonderful recovery this season following the disasters on and off the field in the past few years.
They may have just missed out on a play-off place and had a bad day at the office against Halifax, but this shouldn't detract from what overall has been a fine season with lots of attractive football.
Well done also to the Evening Press and Dave Flett for the comprehensive coverage of our great little club. Monday's match was completely spoiled for me by the strong wind which rendered good football impossible.
Finally to the man just behind the players' dug-out who abused Billy McEwan on Monday, he would be better directing his abuse to the men who really deserve it - the gang of three, Messrs Craig, Swallow and Webb, who are totally responsible for what has happened financially in recent years.
