Bishopthorpe did their Leeper Hare York and District League premier division survival chances a power of good as they hammered Pocklington 7-0 in their final match of the season.
The rout started as early as the first minute and by the ten-minute mark they were three goals in front. Andrew Manns helped himself to four of the home haul with Joe Gardham (2) and Steve Johnson completing the demolition of a young Pocklington side.
Dunnington ensured their elite status with a 3-2 home win over Nestl. Joe Foote gave Dunnington a first half lead but shortly after the restart goals from Matty White and Danny Leach turned the game. Substitute Paul Thompson hit the equaliser on 77 minutes and Dunnington took maximum points when Ian Burgess drilled home a free-kick two minutes from time.
Newly-promoted Tockwith finished their division one programme with a third consecutive 1-0 win, John Richardson the lone marksman.
Heslington need just point for promotion but have to win both their remaining two games to pip Tockwith and take the title.
A resurgent Wilberfoss side chalked up their fourth straight win and are now just one point from safety after they beat Post Office 4-2, confirming relegation for Post Office. Olly Newby took his personal tally to ten in four games with his second hat-trick in three games. Richard Tinson also scored.
The division two top-of-the-table clash at Riccall saw visitors Poppleton snatch a late equaliser through Danny Barrett but the point was enough for promotion for Poppleton. Earlier Ryan Chadwick had given Riccall the lead. They now need just a point from their final fixture to go up.
At the other end of the table, Selby RSSC climbed to safety after beating York RI 4-1 - Kev Gaynor, Dave Jones (2) and Andy Jones on target.
Hemingbrough gave themselves a chance of avoiding the drop with a 4-0 win over Barmby Moor. All their goals, two from Harry Jackson, and one each from Adie Wood and Danny Smith came in the second half.
The three remaining contenders for division three honours all had convincing away wins.
Despite trailing at the interval to a Tamin Sheris goal at Heworth, Huby won 5-1, while Osbaldwick, also won 5-1 at Bishop Wilton with goals from Paul Crangle (2), Nick Lawire (2) and Neil Robertson.
Cawood, whose 14-game unbeaten run started at home to St Clement's, won the reverse away fixture 4-2 with goals from Andy Oldfield (2), John Knowles and Simon Marley. John Dale hit both goals for St Clement's.
With no win in over two years, Wheldrake posted their second victory in a week. Ben Feathers (2) was again on target and, with two Rob Orr strikes, confirmed a 4-2 win at Norton. Chris Seager and Roy Heselwood bagged for the hosts.
Easingwold's Reserve 'B' promotion hopes were severely dented at Hamilton Panthers as the home side won 3-1 with goals from Danny Carr, Stuart Kelly and Brad Dunne. It was the first time in five away games Easingwold had conceded a goal.
Heworth are the champions of Reserve 'C' despite crashing 5-1 at home to Ouseburn - Liam Croft (2), Chris Metcalfe, Ben Clayton and James Hogg the scorers. York RI, the only side that could have overhauled them, could only manage a 1-1 draw at Fulford.
