MINSTERMEN manager Billy McEwan hailed Clayton Donaldson's 18th goal of the season at Stevenage which opened the scoring at Broadhall Way on 36 minutes.
Offside protests led to Stevenage striker Darryn Stamp being sent off for a second bookable offence.
However, the City manager rubbished such claims and, despite watching Stevenage equalise five minutes later, he has added Donaldson's skillful strike to his growing list of Goal of the Season contenders.
He said: "It wasn't offside in a million years. I think they stopped playing for some reason and it was a superb goal.
"We watched a video of all our goals this season on our way to the match because I have got to pick our best three for a competition.
"At the moment, I have narrowed it down to 24 fantastic goals and that was another cracker that has to be added to the list."
Stevenage skipper Jason Goodliffe was also sent off for dissent in the 90th minute and, while McEwan understood referee John Hopkins' decisions concerning the dismissals, he was puzzled with the Essex official's decision not to award Donaldson a second half penalty.
Declared McEwan: "Stevie Wonder would have said that was a penalty.
"He was brought down twice. The first one might have been dodgy but the second one was absolutely blatant and I don't know how he couldn't have seen it from five yards away."
Midfielder Darren Dunning was rested for Saturday's game having missed training last week because of a minor knock but will be hoping to return in the season's finale at home to Hereford on Saturday.
