MUCH as I enjoy the occasional letters of Leo Enticknap, and despite agreeing wholeheartedly with his hope that the BNP will never be a serious candidate in York (or anywhere else for that matter), one must question from where he gets his facts.
In his letter (Keep extremist BNP from power, April 20), he states that the Tories actually gained more votes than Labour in the last General Election. Well, according to the official results, Labour gained 9,566,618 votes to the Tories' 8,785,941.
