RE 'Price of Silence' (letters, April 20), without pre-empting a possible reply by GNER, it seems that this could be a no-win situation for some.
What about the several hundred other passengers, some of whom will have reserved seats, who may now benefit from the new train formation, simply because they are able to cope, or are not concerned with, other people's phone conversations?
Then there are the first-class passengers, who are usually at one end or the other. In most cases, anyone with heavy luggage will usually have the chance to use a trolley.
