DOES anyone know which way the extra traffic will go during and after the Terry's site is developed?
Not through Bishopthorpe I hope!
We had enough when the new stand was built on Knavesmire and have the same problem with the building at the top of Sim Balk Lane. Some of the heavy lorries have difficulty negotiating the corner into Church Lane and end up at the opposite side of the road. Every event that takes place on Knavesmire affects Bishopthorpe, and the village is used as a short cut from and to the A64. It is quite obvious that extra roads are required directly on to the site from the A64.
The concerns and well-being of the residents of Bishopthorpe and South Bank must be considered before this massive development is started.
