ACE angler Mick Addinall continued his resurgent form at Carpvale where he topped his second successive round of the Bob-Co Spring League.
Drawn on the notorious peg three on Cyprio Lake, the Newton-on Ouse-based carp bagger used all his skills to haul out a stunning net of 115lb 14oz.
Alternating between fishing on the bottom and on the surface he managed to tempt 22 carp up to 8lb on variety of baits.
Mick Green took second from peg 28 on the match lake, where he fished corn at ten metres for 14 bream and a brace of tench that scaled 68lb 2oz.
Others: James Moorland 59-8-0; Rob Morris 55-10-0; Graham Boardley 51-4-0; Bernard Guy 41-0-0.
A few big fish showed at Oak Tree Leisure to boost weights and the best of these, a double-figure grass carp helped Nick Fell to grab the win from peg 26 on Pond Four. Using corn at ten metres, Fell also included carp to five pounds in his final 35lb net.
Rob Frances filled second place from peg 56 with 28-8-0 made up of a big barbel along with carp and bream to three pounds taken on corn over caster.
Others: Steve Lowe, Onslet AC, 25-12-0; Steve Hodson, Tek Neek Trabucco and Ray Orr, Oak Tree Leisure both 23-0-0; 6 Tom Hodson, Tek Neek Trabucco, 22-12-0.
The carp were unpredictable at the Willows this week, showing well in some areas and not in others, but with ide feeding well weights remained up to par. Indeed, two anglers tied with 54lb each for the top spot, one relying solely on carp, while just three pegs away, the other majored in ide.
Dave Pollitt found the carp at 57, where meat and paste fished at 14 metres to the island resulted in 16 carp. His adversary Ben Fisk used maggot at peg 60. Constant feeding brought the ide up in the water and Fisk was kept busy for the day taking around 45lb, which he topped up with a couple of carp to even the score.
Others: Bob Rymer, Ultimate Hengelsport, 48-4-0; 4 Dave Armitage, Bob-Co, 47-4-0; 5 John Gilbert, Harrogate, 45-4-0; 6 Alan Walker, Boston Spa, 44-6-0.
The top two at the Oaks on Sunday both took full advantage of a spare peg between them as they plundered the extra carp supplies to take first and second place in a 65-peg bag up.
With the onset of warmer weather sending the fish into a feeding frenzy nearly 50lb was needed to win every section.
It was tight at the top but the extra room paid off for Mal Bailey (Garbolino Elton) and Alwin Ingham (Bob-Co).
Bailey was drawn on 61, where he used pellet at 13 metres for 66lb 10oz of carp to 3lb. Ingham was on 59 and tackled the island margins with maggot for his 65lb 4oz net of carp, barbel and skimmers.
