A MAN was taken to hospital with head injuries after yobs assaulted him with a garden rake.
The 27-year-old victim and his girlfriend were approached by the teenage thugs in Scarcroft Road, York, shortly before 4pm on Monday, where they had an argument.
They then followed him into nearby Albemarle Road, and rained blows on him with a plank of wood and a wooden-handled rake. He was taken to York Hospital with injuries to his neck and a puncture wound to his head from the rake.
His attackers are described as a thin, pale 16-year-old boy, with a spotty face, wearing a white hooded top with black stripes on the sleeves, and a 5ft 10ins tall, 17-year-old, with short black hair, wearing a black tracksuit and a white vest.
