Tadcaster Albion are hoping to win their final first division match of the season at home to second-bottom Teversal tomorrow before waiting to learn their promotion fate, writes Dave Flett.
If Gedling Town fail to beat champions Carlton Town at home tomorrow then Tadcaster will finish third in the final table.
Normally that would not be enough to clinch a place in the Premier Division but, with Carlton set to lose their ground, Jim Collis' men could still go up at their expense.
Albion could also finish level with runners-up Retford but, with a goal difference that is 28 inferior to the Nottinghamshire side that they have beaten twice, second place is beyond the Ings Lane outfit's grasp.
Collis said: "That has been our problem because we have probably created more chances than Retford. But, all in all, it has been a good season and we have got to try and win tomorrow and then let the League take care of other matters."
Former Leeds United and Darlington midfielder Mark Ford is set to start for Tadcaster with Mark Brady and Simon Watson both unavailable and Matty Wain still doubtful with an ear infection that is affecting his balance.
