HAVING just watched Car Wars on BBC1 (Wednesday, April 26), I felt I had to write.
In the programme, police officers in Manchester stopped a suspect vehicle. The driver was just 16.
The officers rightly arrested the youth, they explained to the youth that he was not old enough to take driving lessons, let alone have a driving licence, and he had no insurance, therefore everything he did was illegal and he was a danger to himself and every other road user.
If only the two lads that died last week had seen the programme, the devastation caused to three families would have been avoided.
