With reference to the article "Hat'll Get You Barred" (April 26).
Yorkshire-born and Yorkshire-bred, strong in the arm, wot, NOT A HAT ON ME HEAD!! (Not even a flat one, a real Yorkshire trademark).
Some may say any publicity is good publicity but, in this case, who knows? A hat, a mere fashion accessory, or a representation that you are a feared ASBO youth? I think not!
I have frequented the Poacher/revived Marcia Grey in the heart of the loyal Acomb community for several years, and congratulations to The Original YOUR PUB Company and Mr Henstock and team for saving the pub! The job's a good 'un, no flats; one cannot fault the refurb, which has been much needed for many years.
I hope things do go well with this new venture, and Mr Henstock attracts the clientele he obviously craves. Good luck to him.
But please... what will he do when Ladies' Days at York Races arrive... send the posh folk packing? We shall see!
