I APPLAUD City of York Council's stance on nuisance neighbours and tenancy enforcement manager Neil McFarlane's praise of the neighbours of the latest evictee, Graham Burbage (Psychologist gets eviction treatment, April 26).
But I would like to ask why it has taken ten tears of torment to get this result? Why has it taken so long to get rid of someone who should be grateful to have a roof over their head, but persists in causing misery for those around them?
Also, what has happened to tenancy agreements that had to be signed regarding nuisance behaviour? Maybe if the council acted quicker than in ten years and did the leg-work themselves, decent people wouldn't have to be brave and stick their necks on the line over a city-wide problem.
