MARK Hartley hit three maximums and a 15-darter as Ebor won their opening match of the York Phoenix Monday Darts League division one summer campaign.
Hartley was well supported by Tony Raymond, who hit 19 and 17 darts, to seal the last game win at Cygnet 'A'.
Paul Cooper was outstanding for the home side with a brace of 180s plus a 125 bull finish for 21. Jack White also notched a maximum.
Champions Sun Inn had Jon O'Mara with 19 as their match-winner at Acomb 'A' ,whose Paul Botterill was out in 18 then gamed on 110 for another 18. Keith Turner added two tons and a 15 darter, while Heath Scaife weighed in with 16. Another maximum scorer was Gary Scott, while Tony Cooper was out in 20.
Kev O'Hara (15 and 21) and Neil Long (18) steered Mitre to a 6-3 win against Cygnet for whom Mark Allan hit a maximum.
In division two, Mount 'A' had a 16-darter from Wendy Smith, but could not stop Edward VII winning 8-1 with Rich Pike gaming on bull (121) for 19 and Roger Pike out in 18.
Arthur Caple (180) was Holgate's best player as they crashed 8-1 at home to Slipper, whose Bertie Bingham went out in 16.
Britannia (Acomb) also won 8-1 at Crescent WMC with Mike Harrison hitting 2 x 180, while Neil Fairclough (21) and Paul Helm (18) did well for Crescent and Falcon's Col Gibson (20 and 21) stood out in their whitewash of Britannia (Tad).
Post Office Club were 6-3 winners against Acomb 'B' in division three with Dean Smallwood sealing the last game win with a bull finish for 19.
Bootham Tavern had Lee Hirst out in 21 in their 7-2 victory at Lord Nelson.
All team captains are asked to submit their result sheets correctly.

BLACKSMITH'S Maureen Ferguson included 121, 100 for 22 darts but could not stop her side from losing 5-4 at Clifton 'A' in York John Smith's Ladies Darts League division one.
Clifton's victory was sealed by the Jo Hodges-Ruth Norman combination.
Leaders Cueball 'B' were prevented from a total clearance by Shepherd 'A's pairing of Eileen Haw-Chris Peebles.
Wenlock were taken to the wire at Leeman 'B' where Michelle Britton partnered Sarah Nicklin to secure Wenlock's victory.
Cygnet 'C's Roz Kerr was also on song with 120, 123 for 24 and 140 in the pairs to inspire her team-mates to a 6-3 victory at Slip 'B'.
Claire Boyce (Slip 'A') closed 70 bull finish, but Tramways' inspirational captain Sandra Bruce 140, 2 x 100 saw them home.
Holgate are breathing down division two leaders Burnholme's neck after captain Anne Smith (3 x 100 for 21) led Holgate to a resounding 7-2 victory against Clifton 'B'.
Teams are reminded applications for the league should have been with the secretary by May 1.
