A team that had never celebrated a match-win before this season are in two cup finals.
Sheriff Hutton Ladies sent out a plea via The Press for a 'miracle worker' manager in February of last year after finishing on minus points with a minus 133 goal difference in their debut season.
But after a revolutionary season under the guidance of new coach Dave Bush, they are now preparing for not one, but two finals before the season is out.
The first - against North East Regional Women's League division one south champions York City Ladies - is for the North Riding Senior Cup, and the second is in the North Riding County League Cup.
Sheriff Hutton manager Helen Godson said: "We are so excited - we're still getting over the shock."
Two Megan Dunn goals in a 2-1 win over East Cleveland in the Senior Cup semi-final earned them their place in the last two.
And Eleanor Hall struck twice against York City Reserves to book a place in the league cup final, the result ending 2-1 in Sheriff Hutton's favour after going a goal down.
The Senior Cup final will be played at New Earswick on Thursday, May 11, kick-off 6.30pm. A date and venue for the league cup decider has yet to be set.
