UNDERDOGS Osbaldwick turned the tables in stunning fashion to beat Sheriff Hutton 2-1 in the Leeper Hare York and District Junior League Cup at Poppleton.
Sheriff Hutton had beaten third division Os 11-2 in a York FA Cup tie earlier in the season but that was never on the cards this time round.
Osbaldwick adapted to the blustery conditions much better than their division two opponents and took the lead in the 39th minute through Paul Crangle after a goal mouth scramble.
Crangle, who has scored 29 league goals this term, hit Osbaldwick's second with less than 15 minutes remaining.
Sheriff Hutton picked up the tempo in the later stages but all they could muster was a goal direct from a Dale Phillips free-kick deep into injury time.
York St John's College Reserves won 6-0 at Old Malton reserves, a result which ensures that Nestl Rowntree Reserves finished as runners-up in Reserve 'A'.
