HOW nice, a week's free ftr travel... oh, but wait, I already bought a week ticket, just like I was told to in the PayPoint/First advertising blitz that has preceded the ftr launch.

So my first question is: will First be offering a refund or free week ticket to its most regular travellers on the no 4 route, holders of week tickets who have now been unfairly charged while the not-so-frequent travellers are getting a free ride?

What do the leaflets and posters say? "Fare's Fair"? Not at the moment it isn't.

My other main gripe with the ftr service is the new timetable launched with the ftr itself. Where are the quicker and more frequent journey times we were all promised?

Journeys are now taking the same if not longer and the frequency has now been reduced. Not to mention that the last service now leaves the railway station for Acomb two minutes earlier.

Not such a big deal except to shift workers like myself who regularly use this bus or have to walk home.
