EIGHTEEN-year-old Jamie Gavin recorded the first hat-trick of the season in a 5-20 spell which set up his side's seven-wicket victory in an all-Ryedale division five clash at Hovingham.
Mark Redhead made 40 for Hovingham but his side's last five wickets disappeared in spectacular fashion as Gavin and Mark Prosser, whose 4-43 was his best performance since returning to cricket after an absence of more than 25 years, had them all out for 102.
Geoff Schofield then made 52 to confirm an easy third win of the season as Bridge opened up an 18-point gap at the top.
The defeat leaves Hovingham anchored at the bottom of the table with just seven points.
