YORK's British Touring Cars Championship racer James Thompson remained in second place in the overall standings despite a mixed bag of results at Oulton Park.
The SEAT Sport UK driver started the day with an 11th-place finish in race one, with key rival Matt Neal taking fourth.
Thompson recovered to find fourth by race two behind Neal's first and then had his best result of the day in race three - round nine of the championship - as he finished six places ahead of Neal in second having lost the lead to eventual race winner Jason Plato on lap four.
