WELL done to Millthorpe School for sticking to its rules (Lip Service, May 10).
Rules are there for a reason and to obey and, surely, after attending the school for five years, Rachel Ellis should know them by now?
How irresponsible of the parents to allow her to have the piercing, knowing they were banned.
My child is due to start at Millthorpe School in September and after reading the uniform checklist it clearly shows piercings are not accepted. I am glad my child is going to a school with discipline. The article states she has her belly button pierced as well. I'd like to know where she had it done because I thought that you had to be aged 16.
