AFTER travelling on the ftr for the first time, I felt I had to write.
I was waiting for the No 12 at Ouse Bridge, but after learning from others that there hadn't been a No 12 for about an hour, I thought I would try the ftr instead as I had to be back to collect my children from school. When the ftr arrived twenty minutes later, loads of people jumped on; obviously word had got round that it was free! Great, I thought - I would make it on time for school. We set off, duly arriving at the station, where we were all thrown off the bus. No one up our end could hear an explanation from the hostess, who was what seemed like a few hundred metres away from the front of the vehicle! Mayhem ensued as disgruntled passengers tried to board the next, already full, ftr.
Then began this saga: "the bus isn't moving until someone with a buggy gets off".
It seems ridiculous that a bus so large cannot accommodate more than three buggies. The lady eventually pressured off the bus had already waited over an hour for a Number 12 and had children to pick up from school. Luckily another ftr turned up, which she was able to catch, although we were both late reaching school for our children.
It was the first time in a long while that I have not used my car, but I will not be making that mistake again.
