PETER Scott, I suggest you take this matter further. The same thing happened to my daughter.
Hartlepool police took all the details, asked us to provide everything we could such as eBay pages and emails printed out. Sent all the details to Greater Manchester police where the miscreant lived.
Great Manchester Police called us by phone to tell us they had someone in custody who was being held on suspicion of obtaining money by deception, and gave us the email address of the officer dealing with the matter so as we could give any other information we may remember and also be kept informed of any progress.
The "perp" confessed and offered to make full refund of monies taken.
Both police forces, Cleveland and GMP, couldn't have been more helpful.
W Elliott,
Kinbrace Road,
Hartlepool.
