York City Baths Club swimmers won seven gold, ten silver and four bronze medals at the Sports Aid meet at Leeds International Pool. York had a total of 53 finalists.
Anna Atkinson-Smith, 11, won four gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Her golds came in the 50 metres, 100m and 200m backstroke and the 200m individual medley. She collected silvers in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and bronze in the 50m and 200m freestyle.
She also finished fourth in the 50m breaststroke, 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle and was fifth in the 50m butterfly.
Sophie Glasby, 13, excelled in her favoured backstroke events, collecting gold in the 100m and 200m and a silver in the 50m. She also finished sixth in the 50m butterfly, 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley, seventh in the 50m breaststroke and eighth in the 50m freestyle.
Rachel Eastaugh, 14 and over class, took gold in the 50m freestyle and silver in the 100m freestyle.
Andrew Burns, 12, had a silver in the 200m breaststroke and bronze in both the 50m and 200m butterfly. He also finished fifth in the 100m butterfly.
Eddie Clarkson, 11, took silver in the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly, finished fourth in the 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley and was eighth in the 50m freestyle.
Jennifer Hodgson, 11, had a silver in the 200m butterfly, was sixth in the 50m butterfly and 200m backstroke, seventh in the 100m butterfly and eighth in the 50m freestyle.
Michael Feetenby, 13, collected silver in the 50m backstroke, was fourth in the 100m backstroke and sixth in the 200m backstroke.
Other top eight awards went to: Alice Carty, 11yrs 4th 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley; Molly Eaton, 11yrs 4th 200m butterfly; Aaron Perry 11yrs 4th 50m breaststroke; Edward Freer 14 and over 5th 100m freestyle and 7th 50m freestyle; Kirsty Smith 13yrs 6th 100m backstroke; Rachael Webster 13yrs 7th 200m backstroke; Oliver Hicks 10yrs 7th 50m breaststroke; Tom Eaton 14 and over 8th 50m freestyle; Joseph Brennan 10yrs 8th 200m butterfly; Simon Duston 12yrs 8th 200m butterfly; Kristian Newby 13yrs 8th 50m breaststroke.
Other York swimmers producing personal best times were: Kate Garnett, Kayleigh Brown, Suzy Parrott, Alex Perry, Katie Mitchell, Hannah Carty, Christian Carty, Laura Pitt, Claire Owen, Edward Bradley, Angus Clark, Charlotte Dearlove, Isobel Bradley and Luke Richmond.
