ST Olave's School, York, can boast two new national sporting heroes.
Edward Clarkson was crowned the Under-12 individual national modern biathlon champion and Adam Edwards became the U13 England youth pe fencing champ.
Modern Biathlon is made up of a 1,000 metres track run followed by a 100 metre swim. St Olave's won the national team event earlier in the year and this time Clarkson and Tom Kimpson tackle the individual event in Manchester.
Both boys put in personal best times with Kimpson winning the running event but finishing eighth overall behind Clarkson.
Edwards, who fences for the school, struck gold at the England Youth Fencing U13 Championship.
For good measure, the St Olave's clay pigeon shooters were runners-up in the Northern Prep Schools Championship.
