POLICE appealed today for a tractor driver who may have witnessed an incident on a Yorkshire country road to come forward.
Detective Constable Angela Martindale, of Scarborough CID, said she was investigating a "domestic-related incident", which happened on a quiet road between Buttercrambe and Stamford Bridge on Monday afternoon and involved a parked red Renault Scenic.
She said serious allegations had been made about what had happened, but was unable to give any further details.
She said a tractor or similar vehicle was thought to have passed by the Renault at the time of the incident, and she urged the driver - or anyone else with information which could assist - to contact her on 0845 60 60 247. She said that if she was not in when people rang, they should leave a message for her to call them back.
