YORK City's Supporters' Trust have called a special general meeting for Tuesday, June 6.
The meeting will be held in Museum Gardens' Tempest Anderson Hall and starts at 7.30pm.
It has been organised to discuss the Minstermen's current financial position and the Trust's considerations about alternatives for the financing, management and ownership of the club.
A vote will also be held on a motion that is being put to members in respect of a proposed change to the future financing, management and ownership of the club.
The motion under consideration would see City managing director Jason McGill's Malton-based company JM Packaging given a 75 per cent plus one share ownership of the club in return for a £1million investment.
City's Trust's shareholding, which currently stands at 85 per cent, would then be reduced to 25 per cent less one share.
A Trust press release also stated that the supporters' body would retain "certain special additional shareholder rights" as part of the proposed new ownership structure.
Further details about the proposal will be revealed in tomorrow's Press and will also form part of an information pack that has been sent to the Trust's 1,250 members.
Trust members will be able to register their vote by post if they are unable to attend the meeting.
