I would like to say a big “thank-you” to the Costain contractors who have been working on Shipton Road area since the week beginning October 5 and continuing for the next 26 weeks.
They have worked non-stop through the awful winter weather, being very co-operative to the local traffic and businesses which their work has affected. The roads were also fully open for two weeks during the Christmas holidays.
One portion of the work carried out during the snowy weather was, in fact, completed at least a week early.
We hear and read so many complaints in today's world. I really wanted to compliment both Costain Ltd and their workforce for being so considerate. V Myers, Rawcliffe, York.
