Reports are coming in that the turnout for both constituencies in York have been far higher than in previous General Elections.
Officials at the counts believe York Central could be as high as 70 per cent, and York Outer 75 per cent.
In 2005 in the old City of York seat, turnout was 62 per cent, and in 2001 it was 59 per cent.
