The Real Aeroplane Company from Breighton will be heading to Pocklington this weekend with some famous historic aeroplanes – the Miles Magister, T-6 Harvard and a Bucker Jungmeister.
It will be part of Pocklington’s sixth annual Flying Man Festival, named in honour of intrepid showman Thomas Pelling, who fell to his death while trying to “fly” from the tower of the town’s All Saints’ Church in 1733.
The main festival will be held in the town centre tomorrow and on Sunday.
A fundraising team of local daredevils will abseil down the church tower on the Saturday and the Real Air Show display will take place at 2pm on Sunday.
