The beautiful Book of Common Prayer, one of the glories of the English language, has been rendered into Pubspeak.
Now we are told that the Old Testament has been tarted up with the inclusion of the Book of Judith (Baroque birthdays honoured in song, Review, The Press, May 4). Is nothing sacred?
