A KNOCKOUT day of football saw nine cup finals played out in the City of York Girls’ League.
Pocklington Town played host to the end-of-season jamboree, which kicked off with Fulford beating Poppleton Tigers 4-3 on penalties to lift the Under-10s Cup.
League runners-up Fulford were held to a 0-0 draw by fourth-placed Poppleton Tigers, before the shoot-out drama.
Referee Helen Winterburn awarded the girl-of-the-game accolade to Fulford midfielder Izzy Avey.
Poppleton Tigers added the U11s cup to their league title as they beat Fulford 2-0 in the final.
Goals from Lauren Spurr and Caitlyn Brooks saw off the threat of Fulford, who had knocked out previously unbeaten York RI in the last four.
Referee Luke Templeman awarded the girl-of-the-game honour to Brooks.
Chloe Lawton, captain Bethany Johnson and Libby Rankeillor were on the scoresheet as York RI triumphed 3-0 over Easingwold Town in the U12s final.
Referee Will Gowland named York RI forward Charlotte Jacques Smith as girl of the game.
U13s league winners Poppleton Tigers stormed to a 7-0 triumph over runners-up Fulford Foxes.
Referee Luke Templeman awarded the girl-of-the-game prize to Poppleton midfielder Karen Poshai, who scored twice.
Shaney Stevens Neale, Emily Calpin, Ruth McAteer, Beth Falcus and Coral Kelly were also on the scoresheet.
Easingwold Town upset the formbook in the U14s six-a-side final, beating Brooklyn 3-2 on spot-kicks after drawing 1-1 after extra time.
League winners Brooklyn had been unbeaten in the league this season since an opening day defeat by Easingwold.
Maise Northing netted for Brooklyn and Caitlin Deery scored for Easingwold.
Referee Will Gowland adjudged the girl of the game to be Easingwold defender Alex Ormrod.
The U14s nine-a-side cup was won by Harrogate Railway with a 2-1 victory over Ripon City Panthers.
Georgia Jenner scored twice for Railway, either side of Emily Chandler’s goal for Ripon. Ripon defender Bryony Coppack was the girl of the game.
Tockwith triumphed over Ripon City Panthers 3-2 on penalties in the U15s nine-a-side final.
Referee Brandon Bishop gave the girl-of-the-game gong to Tockwith midfielder Ellie Corbett.
Easingwold toppled U16s league winners Brompton in the six-aside cup final, winning 3-2 with goals from girl-of-the-game Clara Lowther, Emma Cockerill and Lois Hayes. Kerry Anne Stevens scored both Brompton goals.
Undefeated U16s league winners California Ladies completed a double as they won the nine-a-side cup with an 8-0 win over Pocklington Town.
Girl of the game was Pocklington’s Megan Dixon.
The sale of programmes raised £154 which will be donated to the Breast Cancer Campaign, Tickled Pink. All players received medals with pink ribbons.
