A HAT-TRICK from Lewis Rhodes helped Rawcliffe Tigers trounce Tadcaster Albion 8-1 in the final of the York FA Under-15s Minor Cup.
Rhodes netted the opener only six minutes into the match at Tockwith, and Sam Martin added a second from close range.
Tadcaster ’keeper Jason Lowe saved superbly to deny Mike Fafera and Joe Parnell.
However, Rhodes then created goals for Fafera and Josh Mannix and Jack Littlechild made it 5-0.
Fafera bagged his second before Rhodes completed his treble with two goals, including one from the penalty spot.
Rob Anderson netted Albion’s consolation.
York FA president Roy Ellwood presented the cup – and also handed the Arnold Myers Shield for the referee of the year to final official Peter Hartley.
Rawcliffe ‘A’ made it a victory double as they beat Pocklington Town 3-1 in the York FA Junior Minor Cup final.
Pock’s Sam Shipley went close with a free-kick and Rawcliffe’s Reuben Young then shot high and wide. Pock ’keeper Joe Higgins denied Theo Ainslie but, within a minute, Ainslie’s cross was turned in by Young.
The East Yorkshire side drew level through Joe Mills, but parity did not last long as Jack Torrence edged Rawcliffe back in front.
Dan Dickinson made it 3-1 at the interval and, in the second half, Rawcliffe ’keeper David Fell produced a superb save to deny Shipley.
York FA vice-president Robert Winspear presented the cup and medals.
Nestlé Rowntree were always in control of their York FA Senior Minor Cup final against New Earswick and they ran out 8-0 winners.
Tom Kite opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 25 minutes and Jonny Sellars got the second two minutes later.
New Earswick ’keeper Luke McNaughton was the man of the match after a string of superb saves, but Sellars netted his second after the break and Kite took his tally to four with a second-half hat-trick.
