YORK golfer Simon Dyson pulled out of the BMW Italian Open as a precautionary measure after suffering from a sore back.
Dyson, who carded a four-over-par first round 76, retired ahead of yesterday’s second round in Turin.
He was keen not to aggravate the injury with the BMW PGA Championship on the horizon. The Wentworth event runs from May 20 to 23.
