DOCTOR Who characters caused a stir at a coffee morning in Heworth Methodist Church.
The coffee morning was attended by member of the Hyde Fundraisers, which has members all over the country who dress up as characters from Doctor Who, Star Wars and Disney, to raise money for charity.
They helped the event make about £605.
Simon Bowling, a member of the Hyde Fundraisers, said the funds would be split between BBC Children In Need and Heworth Methodist Church Youth Group.
About 200 visitors came to the coffee morning to see the costumes, Simon said, and some dressed up themselves too.
“We did it two years ago and may well do it again,” he said.
