Under-fives in York are helping to raise money for a top cancer charity by getting out their pens and crayons to create some colourful works of art with a cycling theme.
All the children who attend French For Fidgets classes in York will be encouraged to enter the Ma Petite Bicyclette colouring competition, launched especially for Pedal For Yorkshire, which is supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Lucy Amos, pictured, who runs Little Fidgets, the provider of the language classes, decided to leave the cycling to mums and dads and concentrate on a crafty challenge for the children.
The competition is open to all children and prizes will include a French For Fidgets CD and some crafty equipment.
Lucy said: “As soon as I heard about Pedal For Yorkshire I wanted to do something to help. Marie Curie do such a fantastic job, and even our little fidgets can help make a difference.”
