ROCKER Pete Doherty wowed the crowds in a York solo gig – only weeks after cancelling a show in the city at the last minute.
The singer-songwriter performed an acoustic gig at The Duchess on Tuesday night to hundreds of fans packed into the Stonebow venue.
Last month fans of the 31-year-old were left disappointed when he called off a performance by his band Babyshambles at The Duchess hours before they were due on stage.
But James Freaks, manager of The Duchess, said the controversial rock star played a “brilliant gig” and said he hoped the former The Libertines star would return to the venue soon.
He said: “It was a fantastic show. Everyone enjoyed the performance, which was very lively. “
