I’VE just finished reading the letter from student Rachel Grey (Students keep country going, May 14). May I say “well done” for helping elderly neighbours.
But I would like to know how students help the local economy. They get everything cheaper than other people.
Also it’s not just a few properties exempt from council tax, it’s a hell of a lot, and noise is not a small sacrifice.
She also said students would end up as accountants, teachers and politicians. That doesn’t surprise me.
I was only recently watching The Weakest Link and heard a female student asked, how many legs does a biped walk on? She answered five. Hmm, say no more.
