We want to thank schools, companies and everyone in the local area who took part in this year’s Fruity Friday campaign.
We are pleased to say the campaign was a big success, with more people taking part than ever before.
Fruity Friday is an annual fundraising and awareness campaign held by the World Cancer Research Fund to encourage people to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into their diet.
Scientists estimate that a third of the most common cancers could be prevented by following a healthy diet, which includes lots of fruits and vegetables, being physically active and maintaining a healthy weight.
