Acomb were blown away by rampant York ‘A’ in Zone ‘B’ of the York & District Junior Cricket Association Hirepoint Under-13s League.
The Clifton Parkers ran up a total of 115 at Acomb, with both Andrew Brewster and Harry Richardson reaching 30.
Acomb then struggled against the bowling of Zac Ransome and Tom Spearman, who both took three wickets for two runs, and were all out for 21.
Osbaldwick ‘A’ beat Clifton Alliance, with Jonny Rawsthorne (31) and F Parry the main contributors in their 119-1.
Despite 30 from J Bean, Clifton Alliance closed on 90-4, with L Robertson taking 2-5 and Parry returning 2-14.
In a close game on Little Knavesmire, Ovington ‘A’ fell just short of victory against Heworth.
Heworth scored 92, with T Neal and M Fairburn reaching 30 and D Kitching taking 2-17. B Wood 30 and T Armes took Ovington close, but they finished on 90-5.
Sheriff Hutton Bridge amassed 126 against Malton, mainly from M Fisher and O Leedham, who both retired on 30.
C Smith bowled well in taking 2-6.
The total proved too much for Malton, with only J Raines and S Harland getting into double figures as they were all out for 79. T Coyle took 3-6 and G Thompson claimed 3-16.
In Zone ‘A’, the Ovington ‘B’ side scored 39 at Bishopthorpe, who had James Mackie taking two wickets without conceding a run and Tom Anderson taking 2-10.
It was not all plain sailing for the hosts as J Wilson (3-7) and V Osbourne (2-11) made life difficult before they won at 40-5.
Selby ‘A’ piled up 97-4 against Yapham, with A Bowden making 30 and W Fox taking 2-13.
Yapham fell way short on 60-8.
In Zone ‘C’, J Spofforth and T Ainsley both scored 30 to help Dunnington make 88-2, and they then dismissed Osbaldwick ‘B’ for 22, with K Williams claiming 4-5.
Thixendale were bowled out for 53 by Woodhouse Grange, with Freddie Collins removing four of their batsmen for only three runs. J Megginson scored 26.
Collins then scored a quick-fire 31 to see Grange to a seven-wicket win.
J Aconley scored 30 for Stamford Bridge in their 50-6 against Selby ‘B’. His team-mates struggled against the bowling of S Hunt (2-9) and B Steward (2-8).
A knock of 25 from S Harrison saw Selby home at 51-2.
