A nuisance neighbour has been evicted from her home, ending years of misery for others living in her area.
At least two former residents of Olympian Court off Hull Road moved out of the social housing to get away from the behaviour of Katrina Allan and visitors to her home, council officers revealed.
For years neighbours complained to City of York Council of vandalism, noisy groups running and down communal stairs and harassment.
Council officers and the police tried ways of bringing peace and quiet to the complex while letting her stay there.
Finally the council decided she had to leave and now Ms Allan, 23, has had to find a new home after council officers got a possession order at York County Court.
They served an eviction warrant on her and took control of her home in Saturn House, Olympian Court. The complex contains social housing managed by the council.
City of York Council’s tenancy enforcemen t manager Neil McFarlane said: “The residents at Saturn House have endured serious and persistent nuisance from Katrina Allan.”
