PLANS have been drawn up for nine new homes to be built on a patch of land on the edge of York.
The application submitted to City of York Council has outlined proposals for the development near Mill Lane, Wigginton, replacing farm buildings and a farm shop which currently stand on the site.
Approval for the scheme was originally granted five years ago, but the houses were never built, forcing the applicants to hand in a new application.
In documents sent to the council, agents David Chapman Associates said: “The local community is aware the site will be developed in time.
“Our client is mindful of their role in providing much-needed quality housing for the area and of a standard which meets today’s purchaser requirements.”
A decision on the development is expected to be made in July.
