YORK city centre will be a hive of activity next month giving people the chance to try something new.
The annual Fiesta Festival on Saturday, June 5, will play host to a variety of performance and dance groups.
In Parliament Street, acrobatic group Mimbre, cheerleaders and breakdancers will take to the stage throughout the day, and at 6.15pm the public will have the chance to learn salsa dancing free of charge.
St Sampson’s Square will be transformed into a woodland garden, with local artist Donna Taylor holding free workshops for people to come and create various garden and nature-themed artwork.
The newly re-opened York Explore Library Learning Centre will be offering an alternative to books, allowing the public to “borrow a person”, offering insight into a variety of careers.
The festival takes place between 12.30pm and 8.30pm.
