A FATHER-OF-FOUR will spend the next two weeks with half a head of hair to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Michael Madden, 50, of Clifton, York, has already collected more than £500 of sponsorship money for the charity, which provides care and emotional support for people living with cancer.
He said: “Macmillan nurses are unsung heroes. I’ve had a lot of different family members and friends who have had cancer and they have always been marvellous.”
Michael, who works at the Wincanton distribution centre in Sherburn-in-Elmet, said: “It frightens me to look in the mirror to be perfectly honest and I’ve had some proper stares from people in the street – I nearly caused an accident on the way to work this morning.”
