York 2 welcomed back former York men’s singles champion Oli Gardner, but he ended up on the losing side as they lost to their first team.
Division two leaders Fulford beat Rufforth, while Andy Withers and Fiona Robinson led Copmanthorpe to their first win over Poppleton.
Poppleton pair Graeme Butcher and Karen Hornby were then unbeaten in a victory over visitors Wigginton.
Games difference splits the top three in division three after Fulford and Dunnington shared the points and Steve Gagen and Wendy Cook inspired Civil Service to a win at Appleton Roebuck.
York started their division four campaign with a win against Civil Service, but their unbeaten record is matched by leaders Heworth, who have Ben Leftwich and Louise Haritakis in top form.
Paul Adams and Sarah Smelik ensured David Lloyd 1 stayed top with a solid win against Sutton-on-Derwent.
Geoff Bullock and Pauline Belt won two rubbers 12-0 for Appleton Roebuck in a big win over Cawood in division six.
Leaders Wilberfoss had John Latham and Gerry Screeton only dropping five games in a win over Tollerton.
In division eight, Richard Corrigan and Jane Parkin ushered Bishopthorpe to victory over Fulford.
Tadcaster earned their first win of the campaign at Wigginton, headed by Ben Farr and Sandra Levitt.
