EMERGENCY services were called when a four-car pileup caused traffic chaos on an East Yorkshire road on Tuesday.
Officers from Humberside Police were called to the incident on the A166 westbound near Stamford Bridge at 9.48am.
Drivers of two red Vauxhall Corsas, a black Fiat Panda and a blue Renault Laguna were examined at the scene by paramedics after the collision, which left debris strewn across the carriageway.
One of the Vauxhall drivers was taken to York Hospital with minor injuries, the other Vauxhall driver also suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalised.
The drivers of the Fiat and Renault were uninjured.
Police officers redirected traffic while council workers cleared the surface of the road, which was reopened by 11am.
