Mystery and intrigue greeted Year 7 and 8 pupils at The Mount School in York when authors Diana de Gunzburg and Tony Wild paid a visit.
Their book, The Moonstone Legacy, centres around Lizzy Abercrombie and her quest from Yorkshire to India to find the cause of her mother’s death, possibly linked to a family curse.
Tony was a director of Bettys and Taylors before giving up to write full time. He’s always been fascinated by India and explored the subcontinent when he was younger. Diana was born in Pakistan and grew up between the North West Frontier and her mother’s native Yorkshire.
Pupils learned all about how to write a compelling read and what it takes to be a successful author.
