PUPILS who are preparing to take GCSEs at a North Yorkshire school were rewarded for their hard work with an afternoon of team-orientated games.
Year 11 students at Tadcaster Grammar School donned fancy dress costumes and entered into the spirit of the Wide Games by taking part in a selection of fun challenges.
Following races including piggy back, welly boot, wheelbarrow, obstacle and hosepipe, students also participated in water balloon games and a tug-of-war.
Joyce Harrison, head of Year 11, said it was a chance to wind down after revision and before their final GCSE exams, have fun and form good relationships through teamwork.
She said: “It was all about being team orientated and the Class of 2010 working together to gain points and show that they can work together as a team.
“It was a happy end to a successful five years and, if the students put the same amount of effort into their final exams, they will be proud of their results.”
